ALAN HAMBROOK - Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer

Alan started his first software company in 1981 and since then has founded, built and run a number of successful, multi-national software companies specializing in complex, packaged software products. He co-founded the Dodge Group in 1991, followed by the banking systems and analytics company Aleri Inc in 1998 where he was CEO and Chairman until 2004 (Aleri is a CEP company acquired by Sybase).

Alan is co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Zoral. He is also Chairman of aiHIit Limited (AI/ML based unstructured data categorization); former Chairman of Future Route Limited (Inductive Logic Programming and behavioral analytics); former non-executive director of Prevx Limited (behavioral malware detection); former Chairman at Packet Exchange Limited (global Ethernet data transmission).

Alan has extensive and successful experience in financing, developing and selling software companies. He also has experience with company acquisitions and leveraged buy outs (LBO) and has an extensive network of contacts in the VC, Banking and analytics (academic and research) communities.

ERIC SANDLER - President, Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer

Eric Sandler has over 20 years of experience in roles spanning all areas of information technology from senior and middle management, to technology and enterprise data architecture, design, development, and implementation of leading edge commercial packaged software.

He has extensive knowledge of software development, data management, quality assurance and project management methodologies, advanced database architectural concepts, database and operating systems internals, compiler design techniques, as well as a broad and deep knowledge of artificial intelligence, business intelligence tools, ETL tools, and real-time data warehousing environments.

Eric is a graduate of New York University with degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics. He is an author of a number of papers in the field of vector processing and distributed, real-time computing. He spent a significant part of his career on Wall St. and has deep expertise in finance focusing on all aspects of enterprise risk management.

Eric is the President and Co-founder of Zoral Group, Board Member of Returnil and aiHit Limited, former CTO, co-founder and board member of Aleri inc., non-exec director of Soflow Inc, part of technical advisory board of Future Route, and former head of UBS Credit Risk Management.

JULIAN A D COOMBES – Chief Financial Officer

Julian was educated at Stonyhurst College in Northern England. In 1963 he went to University in Switzerland where he studied languages. He joined Coopers & Lybrand in Manchesterand qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1970 and became an FCA in 1980. Subsequently he was Finance Director of Bairdtex Ltd. (a subsidiary of William Baird Limited a UK listed textile conglomerate), computer software company Ubisoft Entertainment Ltd, DFDS Shipping (UK) Ltd. and Mega Ltd., a financial software company.

In 1995 he became Director and General Manager for Pearpoint Ltd., The company was sold in 2000 for $40m in 2000 to SPX inc. Following the sale. Julian co-founded PIPS Technology Ltd. PIPS designed and developed cameras for car number plate reading systems, becoming one of the world leaders in its field. In August 2007 Julian was part of the management team involved in negotiating the sale of PIPS company to Federal Signal Corporation for $100m.

GREG GRIMER – Head of Sales

Greg is a uber-networked software sales expert with many high-level relationships in both the financial services companies and the large technology and software vendors who serve them.  He is both a Connector and a Maven in the terminology of Malcolm Gladwell. After 4 successful years running sales for SunGard in Asia Pacific, he started his own firm Elicit Intelligence, which specializes in finding and qualifying seven figure sales opportunities for technology vendors as well as improving their sales and marketing workflow through best practice and the re-think of CRM and outbound sales efforts.

Greg has worked with Zoral Labs for a number of years as well as several of our portfolio companies.

VICTOR MURGA - International Business Development Director

Victor joined Zoral Labs to lead its business development strategy. He has a proven track record in technology sales, marketing and lead generation, having previously lead the business development efforts for Iron Mountain (NYSE symbol IRM) and Cogniance.

Victor has lived, studied and worked in Russia, India, the UK, the USA and Ukraine. He has extensive international work experience and a multicultural view on business processes. Victor earned an MBA degree from SWAU in Texas, USA.
