Zoral Core Orchestrator

One place to run workflows, work queues and AI agents

Zoral Core Orchestrator runs your banking processes from application to final payment. It moves each case between your systems, your staff and AI agents, under the permissions and approvals you set. Your teams change workflows without taking the system offline, and every step is recorded.

What your operations and risk teams get

Zoral Core Orchestrator works around the centre of the Zoral Finance Operating System (fOS). It asks Zoral Decision Engine for each decision, records every step in Zoral Data Fabric and shows screens through Zoral Portal Studio.

Generic workflow suites move tasks, but leave the banking work and the audit trail to your build. Zoral Core Orchestrator comes with credit steps, approvals and documents built in, on the same record as every decision.

  • Workflows and AI agents together

The workflow decides when an AI agent starts, what it may do and when a person checks its work.

  • A record of every step

Every step, agent action, prompt and approval is recorded and kept for audit. Auditors can trace any case.

  • Every version kept

Each workflow version is stored. Your team can reverse a change if it does not work as planned.

  • Tested before release

New workflows run on generated test data in a separate test environment. A second person approves the release.

For your architects: how workflows and AI agents fit together

Fixed workflows carry the banking logic. AI agents work only inside the steps those workflows allow. Everything runs under Zoral fOS security and permissions. Where configuration ends, engineers add JavaScript or their own Java, C# or Python libraries. They connect any approved system by API, events or files. Their changes are versioned and approved like everything else, and appear in the same console as every workflow and agent (below).

Predictable work runs the same way every time.

  • Banking steps

Account set-up, balance checks and postings.

  • Rule-based underwriting

Loan steps that follow your credit rules.

  • System connections

Your core, files and databases, through Zoral Integration Gateway.

One console to see and control the work

Operations and technology teams see every running workflow, work queue and AI agent in one place.

  • Everything in one place

Workflows, data connections, automated decisions and agent settings are managed together, not in separate tools.

  • Visual debugger

Follow a running case step by step. See where it stopped and check its data at each step.

Build once, reuse across products

  • Reusable components

Package a workflow, including its AI agent steps, as a building block. Other business lines reuse it instead of building their own.

  • Scheduled product variants

Set a holiday offer or a seasonal rule to start and end on chosen dates. The product then returns to its standard version.

Where banks use it

  • Loan and mortgage origination

Credit scoring, document uploads and manual reviews run in one process, with one record.

  • Onboarding and identity checks

Zoral Document Fabric, our intelligent document processing (IDP) service, integrated with Zoral fOS, reads the customer’s documents. The workflow then adds identity and AML checks and staff approval.

  • Trade finance

Coordinates settlements, cross-border payments and document tracking across older systems and other parties.

  • Portals with no interface

Where a system has no interface, Zoral Resilient RPA enters the data on screen. If the screen changes, it adapts, or stops and asks a person.

  • Exceptions

Failed steps, missing data and time-outs go to the right work queue. The rest of the process keeps running.

Case studies

References are available in confidence.

A large mortgage lender

The Challenge

Manual hand-offs between channels and business units built up loan backlogs.

The Solution

It now runs one process for every channel on Zoral Core Orchestrator. The process connects its core banking system, document reading and front-line screens.

The Strategic Outcome

Loans move faster, and every channel follows the same process.

A corporate trade finance provider

The Challenge

Compliance checks ran across several systems, and manual paperwork held up settlement approvals.

The Solution

It used Zoral Core Orchestrator to run approvals across parties. Risk alerts go to the right reviewers, under the provider’s own approval rules.

The Strategic Outcome

Settlements move faster, with fewer errors.

AI that works inside your controls

AI agents in Zoral Core Orchestrator are guardrailed, with human-in-the-loop supervision. They prepare, check and draft. They act only through the permissions, workflows and approvals your bank sets. Every action, prompt and tool call is recorded.

Agents do not make credit decisions. Those follow rules and models your bank approves, and accountability stays with your bank. Machine-learning models handle default, pricing and limits; language models read documents and draft. Your bank chooses its language models: enterprise model services or models it hosts itself, connected through a standard interface (MCP). Data stays within the environments and agreements you control.

Questions from operations and technology leaders

We already have a workflow tool. Why add another?

Keep it where it works. Zoral Core Orchestrator can call your existing tool, or be called by it, through APIs or events. Use Zoral where you need banking steps, approvals and audit built in.

Couldn’t our engineers build this from open-source workflow and rules tools?

They could. But the tools are generic, and the banking steps, approvals and audit would still be yours to build and maintain. Every change would need engineers, and the workflow log would sit apart from the decision record. The question for the board is who maintains that logic in ten years, and how fast the business can change it. Your engineers keep their freedom where they need it.

Who implements it?

Atelier, Zoral’s senior consulting practice, leads the work with your operations and technology teams. The people who built the platform are part of every programme. Zoral can run and support the platform for you, your own technology team can run it, or we share the work and hand over as your team grows. Your people run the banking operations.
